Well you know, we all have to start somewhere and that we did. Check out our begining to end studio pictures.
GIRL WITH A DREAM
First it took a dream and wow was it a long dream, eight months! LOL! I had always wanted a studio and for a few years I was recording out of my garage. It worked out great for the time but I noticed the there were some room issues. One of which was sound. When I was recording vocals, I would hear reverb that I did not apply to my vocals. It was from the room itself. Also I was interested adding drums to the room. I knew that would not swing because drums are loud and with the garage being attached to the house, something needed to change and indeed it did just that.
I laid out a plan of action and I wanted to this studio to be efficient enough to have a whole band to record in it and I also wanted to to work for just one person. When we put together the vocal booth, I thought it would be cool to control the mixing from inside the booth and outside the booth. Needless to say, this did cost me a bit more money because I had to purchase doubles of many things but wow, it works out great!
Next was the drum room. It’s equipped with cool mood lighting, venting and four walls that sure makes the drumming pretty quiet.
Of course I could tell you more details but what do you want, a book? (lol) just few the pictures. They tell a thousands stories, right? If you have any questions as to how we did this, where we got the materials. Just email me!
